To Joseph Richardson Esquire Clk of Caroline County Court
    I Tilly Wayman free negro of Caroline County State of Maryland having deposited with
the Clerk a written Statement of My intention of leaving this State to go to Philadelphia for the
purpose of seeing my children it is my intention to return here again within thirty days
from this date                     Given under my hand this seventeenth day of May 1843
