   the Said Plt does not gainsay : Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here the
   19th day of August Anno Domi 1719 afd that the Said James Cruckshanks Recover
   against the Said Thomas Windall junr. as well the Sume of Eleven hundred and Seven
   pounds of Tobacco his debt afd in forme afd Confessed as also the Sume of Two –
   hundred Sixty three pounds of Tobacco by the Court here adjudged to him for
   his Costs and Charges by him abt. his Suite in this behalf laid out and
   expended And the Deft in mercy &ca.

   His LdShip | A Veniry Issued against the Said Joseph Hull on
             at | a certain Indictmt. found agst. him by the Grand Jury
   Joseph Hull | for putting an apprentis of his to Common Labr. &ca
  ——————       wherein the Sherf of Kent County to whom ye Same


was directed makes return thereof to the Court here
   on the third tuesday in August to wit the 18th day of the Same month Anno
   Domini 1719 being the day of return of Said precept Endorst. Summoned
                                                                    pr me Simon Wilmer Sherf.
   Kent County Ss The Jurors for the Honble. the Lord Propry and the body of

Kent County on their Oath do present that Joseph Hull

late of Morgans Creek hundred in the Said County Shoe :
   :maker the Seventeenth day of June in the Year of our Lord Christ one
   thousand Seven hundred and nineteen at South Sassafrax hundred —
   in the Said County & within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court hath frequently
   turnd to Common Labour at the Hoe and Ax a certain orphan boy Called
   Fardinando Hull bound to him the Said Joseph Hull before that time by
   the Said County Court to learn the trade of a Shoemaker neglecting to teach
   the Said Orphan his trade of a Shoemaker afd to the Great abuse
   of the Said orphan and against the peace of our Said Ld. Propry his
   Rule and dignity and against the forme of an Act of Assembly of this
   Province now in force in Such Cases made & provided
    billa vera pr Francis Barney foreman       DMacbride pr Dno propr.
   And now at this Court came the afd Joseph Hull and in his proper person
   appears to the afd Indictmt. And the afd Joseph Saith that he never put
   the afd Fardinando Hull to the Ax and how but when he Consented to
   the Same So that he Cannot gainsay the afd Indictment So as afd nor but
   that he did put the afd Fardinando to the Ax and how as afd and thereupon
   Submitts to the Court Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here
   the 19th. day of Augsut Anno Domi 1719 That the afd Joseph Hull pay the
   Sume of Thirty pounds of Tobacco for his offence afd of not performing
