Smith Clk $1.00 Recorded the 10th day of July 1854 Ex d d d To all whom it may concern be it Known that I Andrew Franklin colored of Anne Arundel County in the state of Maryland for divers good reasons and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my wife named Caroline Franklin being about the age of forty two years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro woman named Caroline Franklin who was conveyed to me by deed of Alevie Osborn recorded in Lib P W A No 1 folio 411 I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all service or servitude to me my executors or administrators forever In testimony whereof I Andrew Franklin have thereunto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and fifty four Signed Sealed and delivered in his the presence of Andrew x Franklin (seal) Jno G Taylor mark Thos.
