    Deed of Manumission and Release of Service
    Whereas my slave Abram Lincon has enlisted
in the service of the United States now in consideration
thereof I Thomas Welsh of Anne Arundel
County State of Maryland do hereby in consideration
of said enlistment manumit set free and release
the above named Abram Lincon from all service
due me his freedom to commence from the
the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the
Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the
United States            witness my hand this 25th day
of August 1865

acknowledged the above Deed of Manumission and
Release of Service to be his free act and deed
