213 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas My Slave Henry Jackson has enlisted in the Service of the united states Now in Consideration thereof I Charles Duvall of anne arundel County state of maryland do hereby in Consideration of said enlistment Manumit Set free and release the above named Henry Jackson from all service due me his freedom to commence from the Thirty First day of March the day of his enlistment as aforesaid in the Thirtyeth Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the united States Witness My hand and seal this 28 day of Febry 1865 Witness Charles Duvall George W Hamilton Wm H Hamilton John Vanell Anne arundel County state of maryland 1865 Before me appeared this day Charles Duvall and acknowledged the above Deed of manumission and Release of Service to his free act and deed L Welch J P Recorded the 5 day of June 1865 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas my slave Jerry Snowden has enlisted in the service of the united states Now in Consideration thereof I John Miller of Anne arundel County State of maryland do hereby in Consideration of said Enlistment Manumit Set free and Release the above named Jerry Snowden from all service due me her freedom to Commence from the 20 day of June 1864 the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the 30 Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the United States |
