184 I hereby Certify that T T Wilson Esqr before whom the annexed acknowledgment was made and who as thereto subscribed her name was at the time of so doing a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for the City of Baltimore duly commissioned and Sworn In Testimony whereof I hereto set my (Seal) hand and affixed the seal of the Superior U S Internal Court of Baltimore City this 30th day Revenue Stamp of april A D 1864 5 Cents A M Alford Mace Clerk of the 30 ap 1864 Superior Court of Baltimore City Recorded the 3 day of May ^June^ 1864 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas My slave Isaac Johnson has enlisted in the service of the united states Now in Consideration thereof I Jonathan S Warfield of anne arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in Consideration of said enlistment Manumit set free and release the above named Isaac Johnson from all service due me his freedom to Commence from the fourteenth day of March 1864 the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the thirtieth Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the united states Witness My hand and Seal this thirtieth day of april 1864 Jonathan S Warfield Witness T T Wilson D W Baldwin Baltimore City State of maryland ap 30 1864 Before me appeared this day Jonathan S Warfield and acknowledged the above Deed of manumission and Release of Service to be his free act and deed T T Wilson State of Maryland Baltimore City sct I hereby Certify that T T Wilson Esquire before whom the annexed acknowledgment was made |
