manumitted and discharged from all manner of
servitude or service to me my heirs Executors or administrators
from and after the date of these presents   In Testimony
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal
this 10th day of april in the year Eighteen hundred and
forty four
Signed Sealed and delivered in      Wm Brewer   (seal)
the presence of J W Hunter
                   N Brewer of Jno

    At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit
          State of maryland anne arundel county to wit:
                On this 10 day of april in the year Eighteen hundred
and forty four personally appears William Brewer
party Grantor mentioned in the within deed or instrument
of writing before the subscriber a Justice of the peace in
and for said County and acknowledged the said deed or
instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the
negro woman named therein to be manumitted and
discharged from all services to him or to any claiming
under him from and after the date of said deed
according to the acts of assembly in such case made and
provided                                    J W Hunter
