544 the date hereof Emily aged nine years to be free in twenty eight years from the date hereof and her issue to be free at the age of thirty years and I do declare the said negroes to be free manumitted and discharged from me my heirs Executors and administrators on the above terms and conditions they serving the time faithfully as mentioned above witness my hand and seal this tenth day of January Eighteen hundred and thirty three Signed sealed and delivered George Barber (seal) In presence of Gideon white George S Barber At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Ann Arundel County to wit On this tenth day of January 1833 appeared the above named George Barber before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said county and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the said negroes to be free at the times therein specified and not before Ex.d d.d Gideon white Chd 3¼ Recorded the 11.th day of January 1833 An Act to make valid certain Records therein named Whereas a certain Elijah Moore now of the state of Ohio did about the year Eighteen hundred and twelve while residing in the town of Alexandria District of Columbia convey to a certain Richard Rock of said place a negro girl by the name of Milly Jenkins a native of the state of Maryland by a regular Bill of sale which instrument expressly stated that said negro was to serve said Rock |
