439 to be free when she arrives at the age of thirty years and her increase the males to be free at the age of twenty five years and the females at the age of twenty one years and their increase forever and I do declare the said negro Girl Maria to be discharged from all service or servitude to me my heirs executors or administrators on the above mentioned terms In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 9th day of October Eighteen hundred and twenty nine Signed Sealed an delivered in the presence of Gideon White Charles Munroe (seal) Robert S Bryan At the foot of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Ann Arundel County ss.t On the 9th day of October 1829 appeared Charles Munroe before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said County and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed paid Gideon White 3 Recorded the 12.th day of October 1829 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Charles Munroe of ann arundel county and State of Maryland for divers good causes me thereunto moving and for the further consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do liberate manumit and set free my negro Girl Rachel aged six years on the following terms to wit: when she arrives at the age of thirty years and her increase the males to be free at the age of thirty years and the females at the age of thirty years and their increase forever and I do declare the said negro Girl Rachel to be discharged from all service or (servitude) |
