175 To all whome it may concern Be it known that I William Jacobs of anne arundel County in the State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further Consideration of her good behavor towards me do manumit and set free my negro woman Hager when she shall arrive to the age of thirty years of age she being at this time twenty years of age. In consideration as above I also set free the Issue of the above named Hager and their issue mails to serve until they arrive to the age of thirty years of age and the femails untill they arrive to the age of twenty five years of age and no longer In Testimoney whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this sixteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of: his Witness Wm H Baldwin William X Jacobs (seal) Henry Woodward mark On the back of the aforegoing bond was thus written to wit: anne arundel County to wit: On this sixteenth day of December Eighteen hundred and twenty personally appears William Jacobs party to the above or within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of maryland for the said county and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within or above mentioned according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided Acknowledged before Tho.s W Turner 2½ Recorded the 3d day of January 1831 To all whom it may Concern Be it known That we (the heirs of Zachariah Brown des.d) Catherine (Brown) |
