285 thirty seven years of age and the said negro Fanny and her issue that she shall or may have after this day or the date of these presents is by me by virtue of these presents hereby declared to be liberated and set free from slavery forever hereafter to all intents and purposes. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of October in the year eighteen hundred and fourteen Witness Louis Gassaway F. Scott (seal) W.m S. Green On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit: Anne Arundel County Sc.t Be it remembered that on this 14.th day of October 1814 personally appears Frederick Scott party to the within instrument of writing before me a Justice of the peace for the county aforesaid and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro woman within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the acts of Assembly in such cases made and provided.
