237 by these presents In Witness whereof I the said Samuel Ward hath hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fourteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen Signed Sealed and delivered in Samuel Ward (seal) presence of J S Belt Thomas Sellman On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit: On the fourteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen personally appeared Samuel Ward party to the within deed before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace of Anne Arundel County and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed to and for the use and purpose therein mentioned and agreeable to the form of the act of Assembly in such cases made and provided Chd Acknowledged before Ex.d d.d Thomas Sellman 3¾ Recorded the 17th day of January 1814 Maryland Ss.t To all whom these presents shall come Greting. I Hale Wyvill of Ann Arundel County for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving declare free manumate liberate and enfranchise the following negro to wit Benjamin Wilson aged about eighteen years to be free on the twenty fifth day of December one thousand eight hundred and nineteen from me my heirs executors and administrators in the manner and form above mentioned viz |
