132. On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Anne Arundel County to wit on the twenty third day of May one thousand eight hundred and ten came the within named Samuel Thomas before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid & acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Chd acknowledged before Ex.d d.d Beale Warfield 4½ sds Recorded the 21.st day of November 1810 State of Maryland anne arundel County to wit To all whom it may concern Be it Known that I George Gardner of the County and State above mentioned divers good causes me thereunto moving have liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do liberate manumit and set free a negro girl named Juda aged about thirteen years my slave from and after the twenty third day of May in the year eighteen hundred and eighteen and I do hereby set free & manumit all the Children that may be born of the above mentioned female before the period of her becomeing free the said children shall be free the males at the age of Twenty one and the females at eighteen years of age and for the full performance of |
