121 and the act of Assembly in such cases made and provided 3 Ex.d.d.d Gideon White paid Recorded the 3.rd August 1810 To all whom it may concern Be it Known that I Elizabeth Gwinn of the City of Annapolis in the State of Maryland widow of John Gwinn Esquire of the said City deceased for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of one Dollar current money to me in hand paid Have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents Do hereby released from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro man named Evans being of the age of forty four years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and which said negro man named Evans I purchased of the administrator of my said deceased husband and him the said negro man named Evans I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever In Testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name and affix my seal this eighteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred (and |
