202 Services to him or to Any Claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the Act of Assembly in Such Cases made & provided Acknowledged before Lewis Duvall Recd 19 Septr 1804 To all whom it may concern. Be it known that we John Hoskin Stone of Ann Arundel County and Robert Cowden Stone of Allegany County for divers good causes us thereunto moving and also in further Consideration of five Shillings Currency to us in hand paid here release from Slavery manumitted and set free and by these presents we the said John Hoskin Stone and Robert Cowden Stone do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and Set free the following negro man to wit. Benjamin Drummond aged fifty five years and James Drummond his son aged about Eighteen years and do declare the said negro men to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of service or Servitude to us our Executors Administrators or assigns; Provided that the said Benjamin Drummer shall diligently and duly serve John Hoskin Stone to the best of his Capacity for |
