Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

Liley Walker
 proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named Liley Walker aged about forty four years
about five feet half an inch high black complexion
has several small moles on the left side of the
face, is one of the persons manumitted by Ebenezer
Pumphrey by deed dated the sixteenth day of
January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven
hundred and ninety eight and that she was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 1.st day of May 1832




Artridge Johnson
     Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court do hereby certify
that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Artridge
Johnson aged about thirty five years about
four feet ten and an half inches high black
complexion has a small scar on the
middle finger of the right hand is one of
the persons manumitted by Ebenezer Pumphrey
by deed of manumission dated the sixteenth
day of January in the year of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred and ninety eight
and that she was raised in the county
aforesaid
    Issued the 1.st day of May 1832




Polly Ringgold
     Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court do hereby Certify that
it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Polly Ringgold
                                                           aged
