Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Sarah
Ann Jackson aged about Eighteen years about five feet
three and a half Inches high brown Complexion has
a small mole on the end of the middle finger of the
right hand was free born that she was raised in
the County aforesaid
    Issued the 22d day of June 1844


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Horace Hawkins
aged about twenty one years about five feet five and
a half Inches high black Complexion has a scar on the
left arm was free born, and that he was raised in the
County aforesaid
    Issued the 25 day of June 1844


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Sarah Lee
aged about twenty four years about five feet three Inches
high yellow Complexion has a small scar in the forehead
and another on the little finger of the left hand was
free born, and that she was raised in the County
aforesaid
    Issued the 1 day of July 1844


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court
do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named mary Smith aged about
nineteen years about four feet nine Inches high black
Complexion has no perceptible mark, was free born
and that she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 3d day of July 1844
