Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court, do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Zadock
Green aged about thirty seven years about five feet
four and a half Inches high black Complexion
has a scar on the right wrist is one of the persons
manumitted by Richard P Snowden by deed dated the
twenty fourth day of november in the year of our Lord
Eighteen hundred and forty and that he was raised in
the County aforesaid
    Issued the 12th day of october 1842


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Betsy Hepburn
aged about thirty six years about four feet Eight
Inches high black Complexion has no perceptible mark
is one of the persons manumitted by Richard P
Snowden by deed dated the twenty fourth day of
November in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred
and forty and that she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 12 day of october 1842


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Eugene Waters aged about thirty six years about
five feet one Inch high light Complexion has a small
scar on the left Cheek and one on the breast is one
of the persons manumitted by Anna Maria Snowden
by deed dated the second day of November Eighteen
hundred and fourteen and that she was raised in
the County aforesaid
    Issued the 12th day of october 1842
