Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named Raul Johnson aged about thirty five
years about five feet nine Inches high dark
complexion has a small scar on the back of the
right hand, another on the forehead, and another
on the left cheek is one of the persons manumitted
by James haw, James Murray and Henry S Holland
by deed dated the fourteenth day of July in the year
Eighteen hundred and twenty nine and that he
was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 9th day of June 1842


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Mary Elizabeth
Evans aged about twenty one years about five feet six
and a half Inches high bright complexion and has
a few freckles in the face, was free born, and that
she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 18 day of June 1842

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Catherine
Johnson aged about twenty one years about five feet
one Inch high dark Complexion has no perceptible
mark or scar was free born, and that she was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 6 day of July 1842
