Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court
do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Henry Gantt aged about twenty
six years about five feet four and a half Inches high black
Complexion has no perceptible mark or scar was free
born, and that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 28 day of march 1842


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the Bearer hereof named [illegible] Gantt aged
about twenty four years about five feet seven and a half
Inches high black Complexion has a small scar on the right
arm above the wrist was free born, and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 28 day of march 1842


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Nace
Gantt aged about twenty one years about five feet
seven and a half Inches dark Complexion has a
small scar on the right wrist, and one on the breast
was free born and that he was raised in the
County aforesaid
    Issued the 29 day of march 1842


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Richard Allsip aged about thirty three years about
five feet seven and a half Inches high light complexion
