Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
             I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named James Boothe
aged about thirty Eight years about five feet Eleven Inches
high dark Complexion has no perceptible mark is one
of the persons manumitted by William Weems by deed
dated the twentieth day of January Eighteen hundred
and fourteen and that he was raised in the County
aforesaid
    Issued the 18 day of December 1839


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Thomas Boothe
aged about thirty years about five feet Eight Inches
high dark Complexion has a small scar near the
Corner of the right eye is one of the persons manumitted
by William Weems by deed dated the twentieth day
of January Eighteen hundred and fourteen and that
he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 18 day of December 1839


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Lewis
Boothe aged about twenty one years about five
feet Eight and a half inches high dark Complexion
has a small scar on the back of the left hand
was free born and that he was raised in the
County aforesaid
    Issued the 18 day of December 1839


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named Dinah Scott aged about seventy three years
about five feet three Inches high yellow Complexion
has no perceptible mark is one of the persons
manumitted by Joseph Couch by deed dated the
twentieth day of February in the year Eighteen hundred
two, and that she was raised in the County
aforesaid
    Issued the 2d day of January 1839
