Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

is one of the persons manumitted by
Samuel Bradford by deed dated the
20th day of December Eighteen hundred
and twenty seven and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 23 Octo 1838


Maryland
        Anne Arundel County to wit:   I William S
Green Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court do hereby
Certify that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named John Bartow aged
about twenty three years about five feet seven
Inches high black Complexion has a small
scar over the left eye and a small white spot
on the left eye was free born and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 12.th day of November 1838


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court do hereby Certify that it
hath been proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof named Becky Boston aged about
seventeen years about five feet two Inches high
brown Complexion has a small scar on the
left cheek was free born and that she was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 13 day of november 1838


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court do hereby Certify that it
hath been proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof named Nelly Boston aged about
seventeen years about five feet four Inches high
