9 concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a mulatto woman named Nelly about twenty three years of age five feet one inch high with a scar on her right eye occasioned by a burn was free born; and that the said woman called Nelly was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 25th may 1811 Maryland Anne Arundel County sc. I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a woman called Nelly of a dark complexion aged about forty eight years about five feet one inch high, thick lips and a small scar upon the left side of the mouth is the same person named in a deed of manumission executed by Samuel Ridout this twenty ninth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven and that the said woman called Nelly was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 29 may 1811 Maryland, Anne Arundel County sc I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a woman called Catharine of a dark complexion aged about forty five years, about five feet two Inches high is the same person named in a deed of manumission Executed by William Wilkins on the third day of march in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety, and that her freedom commenced on the ninth day of February seventeen hundred and ninety five, and that the said Woman called Catharine was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 31 day of may 1811 |
