33 Maryland Anne Arundel County sc. I Hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Rachel about fifty years of age of a dark complexion about five feet high with a small scar upon the right arm is the same person manumitted by Joseph Cowman by deed dated the twenty second day of March in the year one thousand seven hundred and eight two and that the said negro woman Rachel was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 12th day of April 1813 Maryland Anne Arundel County sc. I Hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro girl named Rachel Wallace of a dark complexion about twenty eight years of age about five feet high with a scar upon the under part of the right arm was free born and that the said Rachel Wallace was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 12.th day of April 1813 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Benjamin Leigh aged about twenty five years about five feet two and an half Inches high of a dark complexion a small scar on the under lip and one of his upper fore teeth |
