Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

on the back of the right hand is one of the persons
manumitted by John Sewell by deed dated the
fifteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and eight and that she
was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 9th day of November 1829


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel county
court, do hereby certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Charles
Allen aged about twenty six years about five feet
four and an half Inches high brown complexion has
a scar upon the back of the neck and another on the
fore finger of the left hand was free born, and that
he was raised in the county aforesaid
    Issued the 24th day of November 1829


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify, that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named William
Williams aged about Twenty nine years about five feet
five inches high black complexion has a small scar
on the right wrist is one of the persons manumitted by
John O L Jones by deed dated the twenty third day of
September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and five and that he was raised in the county
aforesaid
    Issued the 16.th day of December 1829
