black Complexion, has a small scar between
the eyes was free born, and that he was raised
in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 5 day of June 1827


    Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named Henny aged about Twenty three
years about five feet one and an half Inches
high yellow Complexion has a scar on the
forehead, and another near the Corner of the
left eye is one of the persons manumitted by
Amos Welch by deed dated the seventh day of
June in the year of our Lord one thousand
Eight hundred and twenty, and that she was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 13th day of June 1827


    Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify, that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction, that the bearer hereof,
named Charles Shorter aged about thirty four years
about five feet three and an half Inches high,
yellow Complexion, has a small scar on the right
hand, is the Identical person manumitted by
Peter Shorter by deed dated the nineteenth day of
July in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight
hundred and twenty three and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 14th day of July 1827
