a small scar upon the back of the right hand
was free born and raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 1st day of may 1827


    Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit
              I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or
may Concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Betty Duffen
aged about Thirty years about five feet and an
half Inch high, brown Complexion has a large
Scar on the back of his hand was free born and
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 6th day of may 1827


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or
may Concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named John
Wilkes aged about twenty six years about five
feet seven Inches ^high^ light Complexion a small ^scar on the upper lip^ near
the right Corner of the mouth is the Identical person
manumitted by Henry H Harwood by deed
dated the seventeenth day of February in the year of our
Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty six
that his freedom Commenced on the first day of
may Eighteen hundred and twenty seven, and
that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 5 day of may 1827


    Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit
              I hereby Certify to all whom it doth
or may Concern that it hath been proved to my
                                                            satisfaction
