by Jeremiah Townley Chase by deed dated the seventeenth day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty four, and that she was raised in Somerset County Issued the 18 day of may 1824 Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Henry Troy aged about Thirty seven years about five feet one Inch high black complexion has a scar on the end of the little finger of the left hand was free born, and raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 16th day of June 1824 Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named John aged about twenty four years about five feet nine Inches high dark Complexion has a scar behind the left Ear and a small scar upon the back of the left hand is one of the persons manumitted by Jonathan N Loughlin by deed dated the ninth day of may in the year one thousand Eight hundred and Eight and that he was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 21 day of June 1824 |
