122 satisfaction that the bearer hereof a mulatto woman named Elizabeth Speaks aged about twenty two years about five feet five Inches high light Complexion no perceptible mark was free born; and that the said Elizabeth Speaks was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 8th day of September 1818 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may Concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Matthias aged about twenty seven years about five feet six and a half Inches high black Complexion a small scar upon the right hand and another small scar in the Corner of the left eye is the Identical person manumitted by Eleanor Yieldhall by deed dated the twenty Eighth day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine that her freedom Commenced on the twenty Eighth day of May Eighteen hundred and Eighteen and that the said negro man named Matthias was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 18th day of September 1818 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a mulatto man named Samuel Johnson aged about forty four years about six feet high bright complexion a small scar white speck in the right |
