119 Eight hundred and seven that her freedom Commenced in the year Eighteen hundred and seventeen, and that the said woman named Rose was raised in Calvert County Issued the 13th day of July 1818 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black woman named Lucy Luce Ward aged about Thirty one years about five feet three Inches high dark Complexion, no perceptible mark is the Identical person manumitted by Leonard Scott by deed dated the twenty first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and one; and that the said Lucy Ward was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 19th day of August 1818 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Sarah Boston aged about thirty years about five feet four and an half Inches black Complexion a small scar upon the under part of the left arm just above the Elbow, was free born; and that the said Sarah Boston was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 20th day of August 1818 Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer |
