man named 'Isaac' aged about thirty years about five
feet seven and an half Inches high yellow Complexion
a small scar upon the left side of the upper lip another
in the right eyebrow and a small mole near the Corner
of the left eye is the Identical person manumitted by
Nicholas J Watkins by deed dated the twenty ninth
day of September one thousand Eight hundred and
Eight, that his freedom commenced on the first day
of October one thousand Eight hundred and seventeen
and that the said man named Isaac was raised in
the County aforesaid
            Issued the 21st day of January 1818


State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
                I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a mulatto man named
Bill (commonly called William Brookes) aged
about forty six years about five feet Eight Inches
high yellow complexion with a scar upon the
left eue is the same person manumitted by Susan
Maccubbin by deed dated the fourteenth day of
June seventeen hundred and ninety six, that
his freedom Commenced on the first day of
June Eighteen hundred and five; and that the
said man named Bill (or William Brookes)
was raised in the County aforesaid
        Issued the 23d day of January 1818


State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
            I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a negro man named Charles
aged about twenty nine years about five feet five
and an half Inches high dark Complexion no
