freed by the last Will and Testament of the said Frances Yates on the thirteenth
day of July Eighteen hundred and three was raised in Anne Arundel County
and has a small scar under his left eye
                            In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and
                (Seal)   affixed the seal of my office this Eighteenth day of February
                            in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
                            and thirty one

                I Thomas T. Simmons Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County
do hereby certify and Attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament
of Thomas Yates late of Anne Arundel County deceased that she did by her said
Will Manumit Liberate and set Free a negro man by the name of Charles who
is commonly called Charles Davidge and it being proved to my satisfaction that
he is the Identical person as freed by said Will I do hereby certify that he is
in height five feet Six and an half inches is about the age of Thirty years
Black complexion and was freed by the last Will and Testament of the said Frances
Yates on the thirteenth day of July Eighteen hundred and three was raised in Anne
Arundel county and has a slight scar on his forehead and one on his left thumb
                            In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the seal
        (Seal)           of my office this second day of March in the year of our Lord one
                            thousand Eight hundred and thirty one

and testament of Francis Yates late of Anne Arundel County decd
That she did by her said Will Manumit Liberate and
set free a negro man by the name of John Clark and
it being proved to my satisfaction That he is the Identical
person as freed by said Will I do hereby Certify That he is
in height five feet eight Inches is about the age of thirty years
light complexion and was freed by the last Will and testament
of the said Francis Yates on the thirteenth day of July
Eighteen hundred and three was raised in Anne Arundel County
and has a small scar on the nose
                 In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand
    (Seal)    and affixed the seal of my office this fourteenth
                 day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand
                 eight Hundred and thirty one
