    I Thomas H Hall Register of wills for Anne Arundel County
do Certify and attest that it appears from the last will and
Testament of Margaretta Jones late of the County aforesaid deceased that
she did by her said will manumit Liberate and set free a negro
woman by the name of Nancy Wells and it being proved to my
satisfaction that she is the Identical person as freed by the said will I
do Certify that she is in heighth five feet and a quarter of an inch is
about the age of Thirty five years Dark Complexion and was freed
by the last will and testament of the said Margaretta Jones ^dated^ on the 14th
day of October 1804 was raised in Anne Arundel County has
a scar on the lower Joint of her right thumb
    In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed
                           the seal of my office this 22 day of September
                           in the year of our Lord 1827

hereby Certify and attest that it appears from the last will and testament
of Joshua Powell late of the County aforesaid deceased that he did
by his said will manumit Liberate and set free a negro man by the
name of Tom and it being proved to my satisfaction that he is the
Identical person as freed by the said will I do Certify that he is in
height five feet six inches and a quarter is about the age of twenty one
years dark Complexion and was freed by the last will and testament
of the said Joshua Powell on the twenty third day of April Eighteen
hundred and ten was raised in Anne Arundel County has

    In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the
                               seal of my office this first day of January
                               in the year of our Lord 1828

hereby Certify and attest that it appears from the last will and testament
of John Holliday late of the County aforesaid deceased that he did by
his said will manumit Liberate and set free a negro man by the
name of Charles and it being proved to my satisfaction that he
