Arundel County do hereby Certify and attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament of Brice J G Worthington late of the County aforesaid deceased that he did by his Will Manumit Liberate and set free, a Negro Boy by the name of Thomas Matthews and it being proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof is the Identical person as Freed by said Will I do Certify that he is in height five feet Eleven Inches, is about the age of Thirty years Dark Complexion and was Freed by the last Will and Testament of the said Brice J. G. Worthington dated the Twentieth day of April Eighteen hundred and Twenty six was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a scar on the left cheek Issued the 7th day of October 1840 Sam.l Brown Jun Reg Wills A A County I Samuel Brown Jn.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do hereby Certify and Attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Smith late of the county aforesaid, deceased, that she did by her said Will Manumit Liberate and set Free, a Negro Boy by the name of Sam Talbot and it being proved to my satisfaction that the barer hereof is the Identical person as freed by said will I do certify that he is in height five Feet five Inches, is about the age of Twenty Seven years, Light complexion, and was freed by the last Will and Testament of the said Elizabeth Smith dated the Twentieth day of March Eighteen hundred and Eighteen was raised in Anne Arundel County and has no perceptible scars I Samuel Brown Jn.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do hereby Certify and Attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament of Rezin Hammond late of the county aforesaid, deceased, that he did by his said Will Manumit Liberate and set Free, a Negro Boy by the name of Elisha Matthews and it being proved to my Satisfaction that the bearer hereof is the identical person as Freed by said Will I do certify that he is in height five feet six & ½ inches, is about the age of Thirty years Dark complexion, and was Freed by the last Will and Testament of the said Rezin Hammond dated the Tenth day of July Eighteen hundred and Eight was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a large scar on the Back of his left hand and another on the left forearm Issued the 4 day of November 1840 Sam.l Brown Jun Reg Wills A A County I Saml Brown Jun.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do hereby Certify and attest that it appears from the last Will and testament of Sarah Seeders late of the county aforesaid deceased that she did by her said Will Manumit Liberate and set free, a negro Boy by the name of Nace Hawkins and it being proved to my satisfaction that the barer hereof is the Identical person as freed by said Will. I do certify that he is in height five feet three & ½ Inches, is about the age of Thirty one years, Dark complexion, and was freed by the last will and Testament of the said Sarah Seeders dated the Eighteenth day of February Eighteen hundred and twelve was raised in Anne Arundel County has no visible scars Issued the 1 day of March 1841 Sam.l Brown Jnr Regr Wills A A Coty |
