Henrietta Hall by his said will among other things did devise and direct
that all her slaves as well those acquired under the wills of her Brothers
Edward and John as those which she originally held in her own right
be and are hereby manumitted and set free at her deceased from all further
bondage or slavery
        And I do further Certify That it hath been proved by such Testimony
as is satisfactory to me that the Bearer hereof negro Jacob whose height
is about five feet four inches; whose age is about twenty two years;
whose complexion is dark; and who as appears by the said will and
Testimony became free in the year of Eighteen hundred and twenty
Eight is the identical person who was manumitted or freed as aforesaid
and that the said negro Jacob was raised in Anne Arundel
County and has a scar ^over^ on the left thumb eye
                            In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my
        (Seal)           name and affixed the seal of my office this seventeenth
                            day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand
                            Eight hundred and thirty two

The State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to Wit:
    I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that on an
examination of the Records and Papers in the office of the Register
of Wills for Anne Arundel County it appears that the last will
and Testament of Henrietta Hall late of the County aforesaid,
deceased, bearing date the sixteenth third day of January in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight was proved
and recorded in the said Office on the sixth day of March in the year of
our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty eight in Liber T. H. H.
N.o 1 folio 358 and that the said Henrietta Hall by her said will
among other things did devise and direct that all her slaves as well
those acquired under the wills of her Brothers Edward and John as
those which she originally held in her own right be and are hereby
manumitted and set free at her decease from all further bondage
or slavery
        And I do further Certify That it hath been proved by such Testimony
as is satisfactory to me that the Bearer hereof negro Fanny
whose height is about five feet three and an half inches; whose age
is about twenty Six years; whose complexion is dark; and
who as appears by the said Will and Testimony became free in the
year of Eighteen hundred and twenty eight is the identical person
