John Hawkins

I Joseph H Nicholson Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do certify that it has been
proven to my satisfaction that the
Bearer hereof named John Hawkins
aged about twenty four years about
five feet four inches in height was
born free and that she was raised in
the County aforesaid
    Issued the 22.nd day of June 1847







Sophia Johnson
                            No 201

I Joseph H Nicholson Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do certify that it has been proven
to my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof
named Sophia Johnson aged about thirty
eight years about five feet three inches in
height of brown complexion is one of the
persons named in a deed of manumission
executed by J. Nevitt Steele & Mary Emunay
on the 16.th day of November 1846 and that she
was raised in the County aforesaid
Issued the 28.th day of June 1847







William Cane

County Court do certify that it has been
proven to my satisfaction that the Bearer
hereof named William Cane aged about
twenty one years about five feet seven
inches in height of light complexion was
born free and that he was raised in the
County aforesaid
