of the County aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof he the said Joshua Grimes doth
hereby acknowledge has granted bargained and sold and by these
presents doth grant bargain and sell to the said Lucas his
Executors administrators and assigns one negro Boy named Austin
Toogood who was 18 years of age on the seventh day of November
last a son of a certain woman Priss who with her encrease was
bequeathed by one John Boon of Nick to his daughter Charlotte
Boone to serve her till they arrived at the age of thirty five years
and thereafter severally to be free as by reference to the last
will and testament of John Boone of Nick dated the twenty
second day of september in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and seven.  Recorded in Liber T. G. No 2 folio 408
one of the records of the Register of wills office of Anne Arundel
County will more fully appear.  To Have and To Hold the said
boy above bargained and sold to the said James M. Lucas his
executors administrators and assigns till he arrives at the age
of thirty five years and thereafter to be free in witness whereof
the said Joshua Grimes the executor of Moses Lawrence has
hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this eighteenth day
of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and forty five

             At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit
Be it remembered that on this eighteenth day of August in the
year one thousand eight hundred and forty five before me the
Subscriber a justice of the peace of the said State in and for
Anne Arundel County aforesaid personally appears Joshua
Grimes Executor of Moses Lawrence the parties in the aforegoing
Bill of sale or instrument of writing and acknowledged the same
to be his act and deed.      Witness my hand Joshua Stewart
