State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc.t

Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this first day
of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and
forty Eight before the subscribers two Justices of the Peace of the state
of maryland, in and for Anne Arundel County aforesaid personally
appears Johnathan Donaldson he being known to us to be
the person who is named and described as, and professing to be
a party to the foregoing Indenture or instrument of writing, and doth
acknowledge the said Indenture or Instrument of writing to be his act
and deed            In Testimony whereof we hereunto subscribe our names
on the day and year aforesaid

Know all men by these presents that I William
Hardesty of Anne Arundel County in the state of
Bill of Sale from
W.m Hardesty
                to
W.m H. Wood
Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of
One Hundred and five Dollars and Fifty cents
current money to me in hand paid by William H.
Wood of Anne Arundel County in the ^said^ state at and
before the sealing and delivering of these presents the
receipt whereof I the said William Hardesty do hereby acknowledge have
granted bargained and sold unto the said WIlliam H. Wood his
executors administrators and assigns all the property hereafter
mentioned that is to say one Dark bay mare aged Eight years
and one Dark bay mare aged Ten years one geare and Harness and one
Buggy and Harness and now in the possession of the said William
Hardesty.  To have and to hold all and singular the said property and
other the premises above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended
so to be to the said William H. Wood his executors administrators
and assigns forever and I the said William Hardesty for myself my heirs
executors and administrators all and singular the said property and
other the premises unto the said William H. Wood his executors administrators
and assigns against me the said William Hardesty my
executors and administrators all and singular the said property and
other the premises unto the said William H. Wood his executors administrators
and assigns against me the said William Hardesty my
executors and administrators and against all and every other person
or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these
presents, of all and singular which said property and other the premises
I the said William Hardesty have put the said William H. Wood in
full possession by delivering to him the said William H. Wood one
Buggy and Harness at the sealing and delivering of these presents, in
