I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this eighth
day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and forty seven
Signed sealed and delivered                       Absalom A Hall   (seal)
in presence of John S. Sellman  Stephen Beard

    At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit

                                           Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit

Be it remembered that on this 8.th day of January in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven personally appears
Absalom A. Hall before us two of the Justices of the peace in and for the
County aforesaid and acknowledges the within Instrument of writing
to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof
and the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided and we do
further certify that the said Absalom A. Hall is personally known
to us to be the identical person professing to have signed & sealed the
same                                                   certified by John S. Sellman

Bill of sale from John S. Hall to James
Shaw dated the twenty first day of
January eighteen hundred & forty seven
Know all men by                  (State of Md stamp)
these presents                       (            10            )
that I John S. Hall of Anne    (          Cents         )
Arundel County in the state
of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars
current money to me in hand paid by James Shaw of Prince Georges
County in the said State at and before the sealing and delivering of these
presents the receipt whereof I the said John S. Hall do hereby acknowledge
have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain
and sell unto the said James Shaw his executors administrators and
assigns one gray mare twelve years old and one sorrel Colt blaze face
and two hind white feet three years old next June  To Have and To Hold
the said Horses above bargained and sold to the said James Shaw his executors
administrators and assigns forever  In Witness the said John S. Hall affixed
his hand and seal the twenty first day of January eighteen hundred
& forty seven                                                           his

Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this twenty first day

Arundel County aforesaid personally appears John S. Hall he being known
