when the same shall become due that then and in that case the said negro
slaves shall be liable to be sold by the said James Iglehart his Executors or
administrators for the payment thereof with Interest as aforesaid And secondly
that the said Negro Slaves shall be held and possessed by the said Mary E Boyd
for the indemnity of himself and the other parties to the said single bill  And
thirdly after the payment of the said sum of money to the said James Iglehart
with interest as aforesaid that then the said negro slaves shall be held by the
said Mary E Boyd her Executors administrators or assigns in trust for the
Children of a certain Jeremiah L Boyd that is to say the said Henrietta Clarke
Mary E Boyd, Dennis Boyd Celestia M Boyd Violetta B Boyd Amelia
M Boyd Ellen Jane Boyd and Sarah C Boyd and for their equal use and
benefit   In Testimony whereof I the said James Iglehart have hereto
subscribed my name and affixed my seal this fifth December in the year
Eighteen hundred and forty three
Signed Sealed and delivered in presence         James Iglehart      (seal)
       of         J W Hunter

          At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

       State of maryland Anne Arundel County to wit  Be it remembered that
on this fifth day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and forty three
personally appears the above named James Iglehart before me the subscriber
a Justice of the peace for the County and State aforesaid and acknowledged
the above and foregoing deed or instrument of writing to be his act and deed
according to the purport true intent and meaning thereof and the Acts of Assembly
in such case made and provided  And we further Certify that the said James
Iglehart is known to us of our own knowledge to be the person who is named
and described as and professing to be the party grantor in the aforegoing deed
In Testimony whereof I have hereto subscribed my name the day and

6½      Recorded the 5th day of December 1843


             This Indenture made this seventh day of December in the year of our
Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty three Between John S Selby of Anne
Arundel County in the State of maryland of the one part and Basil Shephard of
the County and State of the other part  Whereas the said John S Selby owes and
stands justly indebted to the said Basil Shephard in the sum of three hundred
and sixty two dollars and ninety six Cents current money and to secure the
payment thereof is willing to Execute these presents  Now this Indenture
Witnesseth that the said John S Selby for and in consideration of the premises
