167 and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 21.st day of march Eighteen hundred and forty two Susan Kirby (seal) Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit City of Baltimore Ss Be it remembered that on this day of 1842 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said City appears Susan Kirby and acknowledges the above Instrument of writing to be her act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof acknowledged before William B Chairs paid 48 Recorded the 22 day of march 1842 This Indenture made this sixth day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty two between Thomas W Stinchcomb of Anne Arundel County of the one part and William Bryan and Joseph J Nicholson of said County of the other part whereas the said Thomas W Stinchcomb owes and stands justly indebted to the said William Bryan and Joseph J Nicholson in the sum of seventy three dollars Current money and to secure the payment is willing to execute these presents Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Thomas W Stinchcomb for and in consideration of the premises and of the sum of five dollars Current Money to him in hand paid by the said William Bryan and Jos J Nicholson at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold And by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said William Bryan and Joseph J Nicholson their Executors administrators and assigns all and singular the goods furniture and household stuff hereinafter particularly expressed that is to say Two Beds Two Bedsteads one sett of china Two dozen large plates one and a half dozen small plates half dozen silver Tea spoons one pine cupboard one pine writing desk one pine table one poplar Cradle one pine wash stand one small pine Table two wood water Buckets one sett of castors one Brittania Coffee Pot half dozen plain wine glasses half dozen plain Glass Tumblers four Cut Glass dishes three Bed quilts one Counterpane five Blankets five sheets two Bolsters and two Pillars Lot of Books half dozen Windsor Chairs four calico curtains one dark Sorrell Horse one other horse one Black Spotted Cow Eighteen Hogs Crop of wheat and Oats now in the ground as well all other crop that I may raise this year two wares now in the water one Skiff one Horse Cart two ploughs & Gear one cultivator To have and To hold all and singular the said goods furniture and household stuff unto the said William Bryan and Joseph J Nicholson their Executors administrators and assigns to their own use and behoof Provided always and it is declared to be (the) |
