hundred and fifty five and the said Jerry to serve
nine years from the twentieth day of sept Eighteen
hundred and fifty five as aforesaid these
being the terms of service presented by the Bill of
sale from D.r Michael Pue executor as aforesaid
as by reference to the Bill and last will and
Testament of D.r Arthur Pue deceased will more
fully appear and I the said T. Watkins Ligon
for myself my heirs executors and administrators
the said Negroes Andrew and Jerry
unto the said Bernard M. Campbell his executors
administrators and assigns for and
during the periods aforesaid shall and will
warrant and defend against the claims of
all persons whomsoever claiming by from
or under me.  In witness whereof we the
said T. Watkins Ligon and Bernard M. Campbell
have hereunto subscribed our names
and affixed our seals on this second day of
March in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and fifty five
signed sealed & delivered     T. Watkins Ligon   (seal)
    in presence of
Ignatius Waters  J Peace

Received on the day of the date of the foregoing
Bill of sale or Instrument of writing from
the therein named Bernard M. Campbell
the sum of nine hundred dollars lawful
money in full of the consideration therein
mentioned to be paid by him to me
Witness
Ignatius Waters  J. Peace         T. Watkins Ligon

Howard county sc.t   Be it remembered that
on this second day of march eighteen hundred
and fifty five before the subscriber a
Justice of the peace for said county appears
T. Watkins Ligon and acknowledges the foregoing
Instrument of writing to be his act
and deed according to the true intent and
meaning thereof and at the same time
appeared before me Bernard M. Campbell
the grantee in the said Bill of sale named
and made oath that the consideration set
forth in said Bill of sale is true and bona
fide as therein set forth       Ignatius Waters J. Peace
