State of Maryland City of Baltimore Sct.
    Be it remembered That on this twenty second day of March
1860 before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for said City
of Baltimore appeared Charles J Richardson and acknowledged
the foregoing Instrument of Writing to be his act
and deed   And now at the same time before me personally
appeared also George E Richardson the within named
bargainee and made oath in due form of law that the
consideration set forth in the foregoing Bill of Sale is
true and bona fide as therein set forth

    I hereby Certify That Daniel E Myers Esquire before
whom the annexed acknowledgment & affidavit were
made and who has thereto Subscribed his name was at
the time of so doing a Justice of the peace of the State
of Maryland in and for the City of Baltimore duly commissioned
and Sworn
                         In Testimony Whereof I hereto set my
        (Seals)       hand and affix the Seal of the Superior
        (place)       Court of Baltimore City this 22nd day
                          of March A D 1860

State of Maryland
 Know all men by these presents That
We Nathan Shipley John W Mercer
& William Cushen all of Howard
County and State of Maryland are
held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland
in the full and just sum of two thousand dollars current
money to be paid to the State of Maryland:  To the which
payment well and truly to be made and done we bind
ourselves our heirs executors and administrators jointly
and severally firmly by these presents  Sealed with
our seals and dated this Twenty third day of February
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and fifty nine
