Maryland sct:  Know all men by these presents
That we Thomas E. Parlett, Denton Iglehart
William D Parlett John R. Clark all of
Howard County and State of Maryland are held
and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and
Just sum of two thousand dollars current money to be paid to the State
of Maryland:  To the which payment well and truly to be made and
done we bind ourselves, our heirs, Executors and administrators jointly
and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and
dated this sixth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and fifty nine.  The condition of the condition of the
above obligation is such that if the above bounden Thomas E Parlett
appointed a constable in the fifth election district of Howard
County do and shall well and faithfully execute the same
office in all things appertaining thereto and shall well and faithfully
execute all warrants and other process to him directed and delivered
and shall also well and truly pay and deliver to the person or persons
entitled to receive the same all sums of money, tobacco goods and chattles
or other property by him levied seized or taken and also shall ^agreeably to the directions^
keep of the said warrant or process under which the same shall
have been levied seized or taken and shall also keep and detain
in safe custody all and every person or persons committed to his custody
or by him taken in execution without suffering them or any
of them to escape or depart from his custody and shall also
well and truly execute and perform the several duties required
of or imposed upon him by the laws of this state then this obligation
to be void and of none effect else to remain in full force and virtue

                               State of Maryland Howard County to wit:
I hereby certify that on this 6th day of December 1859 before me
the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for Howard County
personally appeared Geo W Isaac and made oath in due form of
law that he saw Thomas E. Parlett, Denton Iglehart, Wm D Parlett and
John R Clark sign the within bond
