35 received in the said deed of Manumission that is to say from the date hereof until ^the^ first day of January Eighteen hundred and fifty nine when the said negro girl will have arrived at the age of twenty years and also in and to the issue ^to be born^ of the said negro woman during her term of servitude for and during the periods or terms of service as fixed and determined in the aforementioned deed of manumission To have and to hold the same to wit the said negro girl and the said issue as aforesaid unto the said Wilson McBee his executors administrators and assigns in manner and form as aforesaid. In witness whereof the said Anna Maria Hopkins and the said Wilson McBee have hereunto subscribed their named and affixed their seals this thirtieth day of May in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty four Signed sealed and Anna Maria Hopkins (seal) delivered in the presence Wilson McBee (seal) of E. C. Lyons State of Maryland Howard County Sct. On this thirtieth day of May in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty four before me the subscriber a justice of the peace of Howard County personally appear Anna Maria Hopkins and Wilson McBee aforesaid and do severally acknowledge the above instrument of writing to be their act and deed E. of the peace in and for said county this 9th day of June 1854 trespassing on the enclosure of James Sykes Sykesville Howard County a light bay Horse about 14 years old about 15½ hands high spec on the left eye trots and paces switch tail light mane and has been used in gears.
