                            On this first day of December in the
year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty seven personally
appeared before me the Subscriber Thaddeus S Clark
& Jno L. Bradford subscribing witnesses and proved according
to law making oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty
God that the said William W Watkins Upton Dorsey & William
Welling obligors in the aforegoing bond did sing
seal and execute the same
   Given under my hand and Seal on the day and year
aforesaid

                                                          of Maryland

Approved by the Subscriber and on the Same day ordered to be
recorded by the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Howard County

Cassiday and William Allen all
of Howard County and state of
Maryland are held and firmly
bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum
of two thousand dollars current money to be paid to the State of
Maryland:  To ^the^ which payment well and truly to be made and
done we bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators
jointly and severally firmly by these presents.  Sealed with
Seals and dated this first day of December in the year of our Lord
