said Samuel H. Smith.  To have and to hold all
and singular the said goods and chattels and
other the premises above bargained and sold, or
mentioned and intended so to be, to the said James
Keith his executors administrators and assigns
forever and I the said Samuel H. Smith for
myself my heirs executors and administrators all
and singular the said goods and chattels and other
the premises, unto the said James Keith his
executors administrators and assigns against
me the said Samuel H. Smith my executors
administrators and against all and every other
person or persons whomsoever shall and will
warrant and forever defend by these presents of
all and singular which said goods and other
the premises I the said Samuel H. Smith have put
the said James Keith in full possession by
delivering to him the said James Keith one clock
at the sealing and delivery of these presents in the
name of the whole premises hereby bargained and
sold or mentioned or intended so to be unto the
said James Keith as aforesaid.  In testimony
whereof I the said Samuel H. Smith have set my
hand and seal this fifth day of August 1854.

State of Maryland Howard County Sct;   Be it
remembered and it is hereby certified that on the fifth
day of August Eighteen hundred and fifty four
before me the subscriber a justice of the peace in
and for the said County personally appeared
Samuel H. Smith he being known to me to be
the person who is named and intended so to be
and professing to be a party to the foregoing instrument
and doth acknowledge the said instrument of writing
to be his act and deed and at the same time and
place appears before me James Keith the grantee
in the said bill of sale named and made ^oath^ that the
consideration set forth in the said bill of sale
is true and bona fide as therein set forth.
