7A.

(A)    IN ADDITION TO ANY LICENSE FEE OTHERWISE REQUIRED
UNDER THIS ARTICLE:

(1)     AN APPLICANT FOR INITIAL ISSUANCE OF A LICENSE
ISSUED BY THE COMPTROLLER UNDER § 5 OR § 6 OF THIS ARTICLE SHALL
PAY TO THE COMPTROLLER A NONREFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE OF
$200; AND

(2)     AN APPLICANT FOR RENEWAL OF A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE
COMPTROLLER UNDER § 5 OR § 6 OF THIS ARTICLE SHALL PAY TO THE
COMPTROLLER A RENEWAL FEE OF $30.

(B)    THE APPLICATION AND RENEWAL FEES REQUIRED UNDER THIS
SECTION DO NOT APPLY TO A LICENSE FOR WHICH A LICENSE FEE IS NOT
OTHERWISE REQUIRED UNDER THIS ARTICLE.

A Class E beer license shall be issued by the Comptroller, and shall authorize the
owner or operator of any steamboat, steamship, ferry boat or other vessel used for the
transportation of passengers operated in this State, to sell beer only for consumption at
the public bar, dining room or other room space provided for such sale and consumption.
One such license shall be issued for each such steamboat, steamship, ferry boat or other
vessel on which such beverages are sold as aforesaid, and every such license shall be good
throughout this State. The annual fee for such a license shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) per
boat, and shall be payable to the Comptroller, for the use of the State, before any such
license is issued. No holder of any such license shall be permitted to make any sale
thereunder while the licensed vessel is made fast to any wharf or pier in any county where
such sales are prohibited by local law.]

A Class E beer, wine and liquor license shall be issued by the Comptroller, subject
to the conditions and restrictions hereinafter set forth, and shall authorize the owner or
operator of any steamboat, steamship, ferry boat or other vessel, used for the
transportation for hire of passengers, from ports in Maryland to other ports in Maryland
or to coastal ports in other states or foreign ports, or boats licensed to operate tours
within Maryland waterways to sell all alcoholic beverages for consumption thereon. One
license shall be issued for each steamboat, steamship, ferry boat, or other vessel on which
such beverages are sold and shall be good throughout this State. The annual fee for a
license is [$75] $150 per boat and shall be payable to the Comptroller for the use of the
State before any license is issued. No holder of any license shall be permitted to make any
sale thereunder while the licensed vessel is made fast to any wharf or pier in any county
where such sales are prohibited by local law.
