(5) THE PROVISION OF GRANTS UNDER THE STATE FIRE,
RESCUE, AND AMBULANCE FUND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 38A, §§ 45A THROUGH 45D OF THE CODE.

16-508.

(a)     (1) There is a Driver Education Account in the Transportation Trust Fund.

(2) Of the fees collected for the issuance of new drivers' licenses under §
16-111.1(a) of this title, except for Class M drivers' licenses, [$22] $6 of each fee
collected under § 16-111.1(a)(1) of this title and [$20] $6 of each fee collected under §
16-111.1(a)(2) of this title:

(i) Shall be deposited in the Transportation Trust Fund;

(ii) Are not subject to the provisions of Title 8, Subtitle 4 of this article
on the disposition of highway user revenues; and

(iii) To the extent not required by any lawful pledge, covenant,
dedication, or commitment for the annual debt service on any bonds referred to in §
3-216(e) of this article shall be deposited in the Driver Education Account and disbursed
in accordance with this section.

(b)     (1) The Department of Transportation shall provide in its annual budget for
the reimbursement to an approved HIGH school for the driver education program of an
amount commensurate with the funds available in the Driver Education Account of the
Transportation Trust Fund.

23-103.

(a) (1) On receipt of an application and a [$25] nonrefundable fee
ESTABLISHED BY THE ADMINISTRATION from a facility for an inspection station
license, the Division shall:

[(1)](I) Inspect the facility as to its ability to inspect and correct
equipment; and

[(2)] (II) If the facility is qualified, issue to it a license as an inspection
station.

(2) ON RECEIPT OF A RENEWAL APPLICATION AND THE
ANNUAL LICENSE FEE ESTABLISHED BY THE ADMINISTRATION FOR AN
INSPECTION STATION, THE DIVISION SHALL ISSUE THE RENEWAL LICENSE
IF THE FACILITY IS QUALIFIED.
