(Senate Bill 3)

AN ACT concerning

Motor Vehicle Administration - Fees and Revenues

FOR the purpose of altering the manner by which the revenues from certain fees are
credited to and distributed from the Gasoline and Motor Vehicle Revenue Account;
providing for the distribution of certain revenues to local governments; altering
provisions of law to authorize the Motor Vehicle Administration to establish certain
fees subject to certain limitations; altering certain fees collected by the
Administration; authorizing fees for certain services provided by the
Administration; defining a certain term; altering a certain definition for purposes of
calculating the titling tax under certain circumstances; repealing a limitation on the
applicability of a certain refund provision; altering provisions relating to the
expiration of drivers' licenses; providing the Administration with certain license
renewal authority for certain periods; providing that the amount of certain
miscellaneous fees in effect on a certain date will remain "in effect until the
Administration sets a different fee under this Act; establishing certain requirements
for the initial levels of fees set by the Administration under this Act that relate to
federal fund matching and avoiding the loss of certain federal funds; limiting the
uses of certain revenues generated under this Act for a certain fiscal year; clarifying
language; requiring that any planned increases in certain miscellaneous fees be
taken into account for certain purposes; and generally relating to certain fees and
revenues collected by the Motor Vehicle Administration.
